ISSUES is delighted to present an exhibition with Danish artist Magnus Andersen. The new pictures and ceramic sculptures form another iteration of Damdramaer, Pond Dramas, where little ducklings are persistently pursued by pikes, who lurk and attack from below. As the Danish title of the show suggests, in a row of ducks, the first one is taking the highest risk by being the most exposed. If looked at through the eyes of fairy tale author H.C. Andersen, the drama unfolds in a humanly relatable way. Who dares to be first in anything?
