Lydia’s practice encompasses painting, video and installation. The work explores the image of subject as object, the gaze, as well as interior and exterior perspectives on a body and its functions.

Lydia Ericsson Wärn b. 1994 Stockholm, Sweden. Lives and works in Stockholm. Lydia is a recent graduate from HfBK Städelschule, Frankfurt am Main. Solo and two-person shows include Of the One in the Many at ISSUES, Stockholm (2022); Phantasmatic Graft at Kunst- und Kulturstiftung Opelvillen, Rüsselsheim, Germany (2021); Faithful Recreations with James Sturkey at Joanne, Frankfurt am Main, Germany (2018) and After Before, curated by C-print at Mossutställningar, Stockholm (2018). Group exhibitions include Downtown Issues II at ISSUES, Stockholm (2023); End of History? at Gallery Nordenhake, Stockholm (2022); Future Watch at Kulturhuset, Stockholm (2021); Smith and Janey, curated by Coyote, at Arcway and Bonamatic, Copenhagen, Denmark (2020); Side by Side at Fffriedrich, Frankfurt am Main (2020) and L’origine du Monde at Stene Projects Lounge, Stockholm (2018).
